Funding for Transportation & Infrastructure Improvements
- Stoughton and Dane County Community Issues
< Back to Community Issues |

Roads and highways are the lifeline to any community's ability to sustain economic growth and prosperity. Stoughton is not immune to this concept. Over the last 5 years which I have served on the Stoughton Common Council, I have worked hard to prioritize this issue in all discussions of economic development in our community.
Our ability to move people, goods and services relies heavily on the capacity and condition of our county roadway system. As we have exploded the expansion of our Business Park North, we have found that considerable investment must be made in the access roadways from the business park to the Interstate system. One of the key components of these improvements must be the intersection of County Hwy B and County Hwy N at the northeast corner of the City.
If Stoughton is to expand their ability to attract businesses and jobs to the region, County Hwy B must be improved along the northern edge of the city. As County Board Supervisor, I will work to make this a funding priority in the next annual county budget. Stoughton and all of southeast Dane County must be part of the public investment priorities set for county highway transportation funding.

Share Your Ideas and Opinions
We encourage you to share your comments and concerns on these, and many other topics currently under discussion and planning by the Dane County Board. I plan to represent the interests of Dane County residents in Stoughton, and to work at keeping us all informed and involved in the process of shaping our community.
